Immersive Installation

Perugia Folgora

Soar alongside the legendary Griffin on an immersive flight above Perugia, discovering its iconic monuments, artistic treasures, and centuries of history from a breathtaking new perspective.

Perugia Folgora is a video installation presented in the Sala del Caminetto inside the Rocca Paolina in Perugia. The project follows an aerial trajectory guided by the Griffin, the civic symbol of the city. The flight passes through monuments, urban spaces, museum collections, and sites that define the local identity. The continuous motion connects the present layout of the city with visible traces of earlier eras.

Visitors enter a looped projection environment and can engage with the piece without a defined beginning or end. The viewing experience adapts to the time each person decides to spend in the space. The installation was conceived within the initiatives for Perugia Italian Capital of Culture 2015 and remains accessible during the opening hours of the Sala del Caminetto. The development involved collaboration with local institutions, on-site documentation, archival sources, and dedicated production work.
